On January 20, I’ll be in Washington, D.C. as Donald Trump is inaugurated as U.S. president. And I won’t be alone. Thousands of people from across the country will be coming together in Washington DC, their state capitols, and their neighborhoods to challenge Trump’s pro-corporate, climate-change-denying, racist, sexist, and xenophobic agenda.
There are hundreds of rallies, marches, protests, teach-ins, and demonstrations planned over the next few weeks. Will you be going to any of them? Getting a clear sense of what you are doing will help us plan future trainings and actions to challenge Trump’s pro-corporate agenda.
Let us know your plans. We have a gift for you: signs you can easily download to show the world you will stand up to corporate power to protect our democracy.
Since Donald Trump won the election, he has made it clear that he will do everything he can to expand the power of global corporations. His Cabinet picks are CEOs and corporate shills who are more interested in reaping profits than protecting and providing access to our most basic resources. His proposed policies, hazy as they are, include massive tax giveaways to corporations and obliterating regulations, allowing corporations to act with even more impunity.
We need to hold corporations more, not less, accountable. And we’ve got to mobilize massive people power to do so. We’re ramping up to resist Trump’s agenda. And to kick things off, we’re partnering with dozens of organizations for a teach-in on January 21. Hundreds of activists will come together to learn about the challenges we’ll face over the coming years and how we can overcome them. If you are going to be in D.C. for the inauguration, join us. Learn more and RSVP.
I’d love to know what you are doing over the next few weeks to challenge corporate power under Trump. It will help us as we plan future events around this issue.
Together, we will build a world where everyone can thrive.
Let’s hit the streets!
